      Weekends always make me happy. Especially Saturday. Saturday is the day that I look forward to because it the only day of the week that offers time to one self surrounded by good company.  I don’t have to worry about school or work and just enjoy the weekend doing what I want with who I want.

      My friend recently moved to a new home in Orange County and was hosting a house-warming party so I wanted to look casual yet stylish. It is still winter in SoCal but it already feels like summer. Keeping that in mind, the color theme I chose for the outfit is a blend of neutral to light colors. The look is a combination of affordable fashion to high-end pieces. Lately I have been enjoying off-the shoulder pieces such as this Zara top. In addition, the “Flare” gives off an aura of flirtatious femininity, but still hints toward an innocent look.  

       Since I tend to carry many necessities, I have always been a fan of large bags. One can never go wrong with classic Chanel flap bag. The jumbo-sized classic flap bag is in my opinion the ideal compromise of utility and size. It is not too small like the medium flap bag and not as large like the maxi flap bag. I love the versatility of the flap bag! It can be worn whether you’re going out with friend for lunch or heading out for a night on the town with the gals. The gold hardware accents provide a luxurious look when contrasted with the caviar leather in black. For shoes, I wanted something that I can feel comfortable throughout the day, but still look elegant and classy. These beige wedges by Steven Madden gave the best of both world, not trading mobility for fashion.

      Finally, other accessories pieces like jewelry, help define the look and distinguish you’re individual personalities. I strongly believe that accessories and clothing have equal significance in an outfit. Accessories can embellish and make a statement by expressing your style and creativity.  Van Cleef & Arpel Alhambra accessories my go to brands when I dress to impress while still considering the comfortability of long term wear. My favorite piece from VCA is the sweet Alhambra line with one motif because their size gives off a cute and playful look, which is exactly who I am! The carnelian stone inlaid with the yellow gold works perfectly with my tan skin and it has lasted me forever. The yellow gold VCA ring in onyx with the round diamond embedded can also be worn casual or for formal occasions. Onyx is a durable stone as well so it can be worn everyday without worry. Besides, black goes with everything right? ;)
